There is always an abundance of wildlife to view. Watch for Humpback, Finback and Killer whales (Orcas) that travel through Whale Pass - right from the lodge. We often see Sea Lions and Otters. Birds are abundant including our nation's bird the Bald Eagle that we consider our neighbors because they nest in the Sitka Spruce trees right around the lodge. We would be glad to arrange a boat ride to the largest Kittiwake Rookery in the world which is right around the corner from the lodge. The rugged mountains and waters around Kodiak make the scenic view breath taking. Everything you will see is in it's natural environment .
